Living life to your own beat isn’t a bad way to get along, but grooving to the strum of his guitar has always been the Lindal Ngata philosophy!
Since he was just a wee boy growing up in Christchurch, Lindal’s passion for music has been a huge part of his life and has taken him to all corners of the South Island.
If you take a look at the rest of our team, it’s plain that passion is not a bad thing to have when working in real estate. Lindal’s fervor for property was awoken through his wife Michelle’s job at a local Invercargill agency while he was studying sound engineering. Music is still a great love for Lindal, but helping families into new homes is now number one.
Lindal lists his other interests as sport, poker (of the Hold’em-Texas variety, although he admits his poker face is rather second-rate…) and of course, family life - children Jayde, Te Ana and Hoani have taken to their new home in Arrowtown with gusto.
In 2007, Lindal was named Southland Guitarist of the Year. Testament to his love of performing and entertaining, he’s been involved in countless bands, musicals and has even visited Germany as part of a music and dance group. Not just an expert with the guitar, Lindal also plays the bass, keyboard, drums and sings.
So the beat that has seen him true so far now finds him as part of the Southern Lakes team.. With two pianists, a drummer and a vocalist already among the company’s talents, we think Lindal can only improve the rich Southern Lakes musical tapestry!
